Alphonse Cheyamma Helping Society is a non-government organisation NGO in Kanyakumari district of TamilNadu, India working as a charitable Society or trust for the welfare and development of deprived street children, orphans, destitute women, poor oldage people.
ACH has been working since 2009 through its need based programs focused on access to education, food, Livelihood training for women's and health care.
Education is one of the most valuable wealth for any human being. In ACH society we ensure each child is getting proper education and also we are providing necessary stationery items along with books for children who are from economically week families. We have also conducted free tuition classes for children with good and experienced staffs which enables children to achieve in their education. We have also provided uniforms, school bags and financial assistance as well for the required children. We have a list of children who are getting benefited every year throughout their education. This education support is extended for students who are trying for higher education as well with various skill training and career guidance classes.
An initiative to stop hunger and to ensure no one is suffering without food in the near by areas. We are executing this program weekly twice at the moment in kanyakumari on every Monday and Friday. We are distributing the free mid day meals at each stalls stating from 12pm. People from streets are getting benefitted with this mid day meals program. This program is getting expanded to other locations as well for the benefit of all people starving for food. Expecting sponsors who can support this program for extending this in their respective areas where ever people are in need on a daily basis.
Outbreak of covid-19 has hit the economic conditions of most of the people especially the daily wagers and middle class people. As part of this program we have provided a free ration kit which includes all basic and necessary commodities required for each family. Around 5000 free ration kit has been already distributed during the time of COVID outbreak in 2020 and 2021. We are in progress for distributing the next set of ration kit again to the beneficiaries before end of this year.
Fisherwomen in coastal areas used to sell fish in various markets. ACH Soceity is supporting them by providing free fish vending vessels as part of women empowerment scheme. This is a Quarterly program in which we find out the beneficiaries and provide them with vending vessels freely. A total of 3000 fish vending vessels has been already distributed to the beneficiaries. We also monitor and support them with required financial assistance. We are getting more requests from the beneficiaries for fish vending vessels and plans are already in place to distribute the next set of vending vessels to the beneficiaries.
Mr. Maria Monfort. A MBA,MSW is the founder of Alphonse Cheyamma Helping Society . He is the managing trustee of Managing Trustee. At the age of 19, He started his charitable services to uplift the underprivileged families and children. His vision is to give a good education for the under privileged Children.
Mr. Berbin is the Management Trustees of Alphonse Cheyamma helping Society. He is professionally marine cad officer. He always wanted to do something for the poor people. He is very brilliant to execute the program and making it success.
Mrs. Cheyamma is the Managing trustees of Alphonse Cheyamma helping Society. Mrs. Cheyamma spending her most of the time for helping the poor. She gives lot of ideas to implement the various projects for under privileged families.
